The kda firestarter ai trend, explained
The kda firestarter ai trend is a TikTok trend in which people use AI, or film real covers, to put themselves, their cats or other stars into Kai'Sa's 13-second vogue scene from K/DA's FIRESTARTER music video. It is days old, so no view counts or first creator are confirmed here. Make yours from one photo.
What the trend is
K/DA, the virtual group from League of Legends, returned after six years with FIRESTARTER, a single with an animated video made by Fortiche, the studio behind Arcane. The four champions are Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai'Sa. One short moment became its own trend: Kai'Sa's solo vogue in a swirling purple galaxy.
The scene runs about 13 seconds: a face close-up, a walk forward, a hand thrust at the camera that bursts into light, vogue arms, a high kick, arms framing the face and a final pose with both arms crossed overhead. Creators keep that shot order and swap the dancer. Some film a real cover at home or in a hallway, often with the video playing on a screen; others generate the clip with AI from a photo.
Timeline
| When | What happened |
|---|---|
| 18 October 2026 | K/DA releases FIRESTARTER and its animated music video (19 October in Asia, depending on time zone). |
| About 20 October 2026 | The earliest AI remakes of the vogue scene we saw are dated this day. No single first remake is confirmed. |
| 20 to 23 October 2026 | AI creators put fluffy kittens, a cat in a bob wig, pop stars and other game characters into the scene. Real dancers post hallway and bedroom covers. |
| 29 October 2026 | KDA Firestarter AI goes live with a one-photo version of the scene. |
Why it spread
The scene is short, self-contained and instantly recognisable: 13 seconds with a clear start, a hand-at-the-lens payoff and a pose to end on. That makes it easy to copy with any subject. The cat versions work because a serious vogue from a fluffy animal needs no explanation, and the AI versions let people join in without space, practice or a dance floor.
The limits are worth knowing. The trend is new, its reach is not measured here, and AI clips can blur the hands for a few frames during the light burst. Say that a clip is AI-generated when you post it; TikTok asks creators to label realistic AI content. KDA Firestarter AI is independent and not affiliated with K/DA, Riot Games or League of Legends.
